The Page Builder allows you to manage the structure of your website by adding pages and links to your main menu categories. You can easily add, delete, organize, and update pages and links as needed.
When you click Page Builder from Site Manager, the menu displays all of the main menu categories on your website.
*Note: The main menu is accessed across the top of your website, or via a hamburger menu depending on the design. A category menu displays the first level of pages under the main menu categories. You can have up to three levels of pages on your site including the Level 1 page.
Adding a Page to a Main Menu Category
- Go to the site manager.
- Click Page Builder.
- Select a Main Menu category from the menu.
- Click Add Page.
- Type the Page Title.
- Select a Visibility option to determine where the page is viewable within the navigation:
- In Main and Category Menu
- In Category Menu Only
- Hidden (accessible with link/URL)
- Click Add (or Cancel to return to the Page Builder screen).
- Scroll to the bottom of the Page/Links column to locate the new page.
- Click the title of the page.
This will open a blank page (draft) and allow you to start creating content.
Page Settings
Once you've added a new page, be sure to set any additional Page Settings.
Tool Menu
Add content to your page using page-level tools. Click Add Content at the top of the page to reveal the tool menu, which can be moved around the screen for easy access, depending on your screen size.
The tool menu is organized into categories that can be expanded and collapsed. Tabs at the top of the tool menu designate which tools can be used in the main panel of the page and which tools can be used in the Right Panel of the page.
Some page-level tools require that you enter information in an associated database before adding them to a page. Database Tools are accessed from the site manager menu.
Using Tools
To use a tool, simply click, drag, and drop it on the page. Click Right Panel to add a tool to the right panel of the page. Tools placed in the right panel will appear under the category menu unless it's clicked off on the page.
You can rearrange tools on the page by clicking the tool's title bar and dragging them up and down. (An orange box will define the page boundaries.)
Page Status
Once you add a tool to a page and click Done, you'll see Draft saved at the bottom left side of the page. You can leave pages in draft status until you're ready to publish them. Click Discard if you want to delete your changes and start over. Another way to view the status of a page in Page Builder is under the Content Status column.
Publishing a Page
When you've finished adding content, click Preview Page at the bottom of the screen. This will give you an idea of what the page will look like on the live website, although some features such as calendar events will not display properly until the page is published. If satisfied with the preview, click Publish Page(or leave in draft status to edit at a later time). You can also click View Site to see your published page on the live site.
Reordering Pages/Page Levels
You can easily reorder pages/create page levels within Page Builder with the Reorder function. Click and drag pages to reorder them, or indent to create page levels. Level 1 pages are used for essential information while Level 2 and 3 pages typically include further details for users who want to drill down on a topic.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Page Builder.
- Select a main menu category from the menu.
- Click Reorder on the top right side.
- Click and drag pages to position them above or below another page.
- Click the arrows to create page levels.
- Click Done Reordering.
Adding a Link to a Main Menu Category
You can also add a link that opens in a new tab to a main menu category.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Page Builder.
- Select a main menu category from the menu.
- Click Add Link.
- Type the Link Label.
- Type the Link URL.
- Select a Visibility option to determine where the page is viewable within the navigation:
