General Page Settings
Category
Decide where you want to place your page in the main menu by selecting a Category.
Access
Pages can be Active/Inactive depending on your needs.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Page Builder.
- Select a main menu category from the menu.
- Select the gear icon to the far right of the page title under Settings.
- Select the General tab.
- Select the Active or Inactive option under Access.
- If Active, the page will be accessible. (If someone has a direct URL they will be able to access the page whether it is visible or not.)
- If Inactive, the page will not be accessible or visible, even with a direct URL.
*Note: An alternate way to change page status is to click the toggle switch in the Active/Inactive column in Page Builder.
Visisbility
Select a Visibility option to determine where the page is viewable within the navigation:
- In Main and Category Menu
- In Category Menu Only
- Hidden (accessible with link/URL)
Page Title
Type in a page title. The Page Title is an important field for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and building websites with strong user appeal and best practices. The page title is typically located at the top of each page (depending on the design).
Alternate Menu Label
The Alternate Menu Label is the page title that displays in the main and category menus. It's possible to use the same name as the page title, but a long title can sometimes be problematic. For example, if your Page Title is "About Our Mission, Vision, and Values," your Alternate Menu Label could be "About Us."
Page URL
In the Site Manager, each page requires a unique URL that is short, clear, and aligned with the page content. (Long URLs are not user or SEO friendly so you many want to use this option.) URLs should contain lowercase characters only. (You can safely use the hyphen "-" symbol in a URL.)
Page Banner
Add a banner to the page by selecting a Page Banner from the menu, or by clicking Upload New and selecting an image from the Banner Library Tool Database. Once a banner is created, it can be applied to a page, or an entire Main Menu category in the Banner Library Tool Database.
*Note: You must first create a banner in the Banner Library Tool Database before you can upload a banner.
