The Media Library Tool Database allows you to store videos in a central database and display that content on pages in various forms using page level tools.
*Note: This database works in conjunction with the following Page Level Tools: Video File and Video Albums. Information must be entered in the database before these tools can be placed on a page.

Add a Category
Categories are an optional way to label your videos according to content. While individual videos can only be in one Channel, they can be labeled with multiple categories from which your users can search. You can add new categories while you're uploading videos (see adding videos below).
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Tool Databases.
- Click Media Library.
- Select Categories from the Actions menu.
- Click Add Category.
- Type a Category name.
- Click Add Category (or Cancel to discard your changes).
To edit, simply click the category name in the Categories list.
Add a Channel
Adding channels gives you control over which videos are displayed on your pages. A General channel is set up by default, and all of your videos will be in this channel unless you add more channels.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Tool Databases.
- Click Media Library.
- Select Channels from the Actions menu.
- Click Add Category.
- Type a Channel name.
- Click Add Channel (or Cancel to discard your changes).
To edit, simply click the channel name in the Channels list.
Add a Series
Series is an optional way to group your videos into small sub-sets. Instructors might use Series to designate a group of videos that go together as a section, module, or topic.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Tool Databases.
- Click Media Library.
- Select Series from the Actions menu.
- Select a Channel.
- Click Add Series.
- Type a Series Title.
- Type a Subtitle.
- Type a Short Description.
- Click Add Series (or Cancel to discard your changes).
- Click Choose Image to select an optional image.
- Select an image.
- Click Choose.
- Select a Status: Active or Inactive.
- Click Add Series (or Cancel to discard your changes).
To edit, simply click the series name in the Series list.
Add a Video to Your Library
*Note: Please see how to add videos into your library and site below before attempting to add a video to your library.
- Go to Site Manager.
- Click Tool Databases.
- Click Media Library.
- Select a Channel for the video (or leave on the default General channel).
- Click Add Video.
- Select any of the categories you want to use to label this video (You can also select New Category and type a Category Name).
- Select whether this video Is Part of a Series or Is Not Part of a Series of videos.
- If the video is part of a series:
- Select the Series from the drop-down menu.
- Type the Series Part number.
- Select a Description option:
- Use the selected series description and thumbnail
- Create a new description for this video.
- Type the Title of the video.
- Select a Date.
- Type a Short Description.
- Click Choose Image to select an optional image.
- Select an image.
- Click Choose.
- Select a Status: Active or Inactive.
- Type a list of Resources.
- Select: Encode Additional Audio File or Do Not Encode Additional Audio File (Allows users to listen to or download an audio file from the player).
- Select Video Quality: Standard Definition or Integrated.
- Click Add Video (or Cancel to discard your changes).
To edit, simply click the series name in the Series list.
