The Resource Tool allows you to build a list of URLs or files for your FACTS website.
Add the Resources Tool to Your Page
- Click Add Content.
- Select the Main or Right Panel tab in the Tool Menu. (Click Right Panel at the top of the page if you want to add the tool there.)
- Locate the Resources Tool under General.
- Click and drag the tool to the Main or Right Panel of the page.
- Click on the tool to add content.
- Type a heading in the Add Header field.
- The tool defaults to Active status (Click to select Inactive if you want to publish the content at a later date.)
- If Active, the tool will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the tool will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Click Add Resource.
- Select an Access status for the resource.
- If Active, the resource will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the resource will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Type a Resource Title.
- Select a Resource Type
- None - Title Is Not Linked
- Website Link
- Link to a File
- The RSS Publication Date defaults to the date the resource was created.
- Type a Short Description.
- Click Scheduling Options or select the Scheduling tab if you would like to schedule a date for the link to become active.
- Click Schedule a date/time to change access and/or visibility.
- View the Current Page Status and edit if needed.
- Select a Date and Time under Schedule Change.
- Select an Access status.
- If Active, the tool will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the tool will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Type your email address(es) in the Notify Email Address(es) field if you want to be notified of the status change.
- Click Add (or Cancel to discard your changes).
- Continue adding resources until you have reached the desired number of resources.
- Click Done (or delete the entire tool by clicking Delete in the Resources toolbar).
To make any needed edits, simply click on the tool.
*Note: Once added, you can move or copy your tool to another page by clicking Move/Copy in the Resources toolbar.
Resources Tool Properties
To Update Tool Properties, click Options in the Resources toolbar, make your selections, and click Save.
- RSS Feed URL (available after the page has been saved).
- Select Display RSS Feed Icon - Yes or No.
- Type an RSS Title for this feed.
- Select Display Expandable Content - Yes or No.
- Select an account to Automatically Post to.
- Connect a Facebook account.
Schedule An Access Status Change
You can schedule a tool to become Active or Inactive on a specific date.
- Click on the tool.
- Click Schedule in the Resources toolbar.
- Select a Date for the status change.
- Select a New Access Status.
- If Active, the tool will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the tool will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Type your email address(es) in the Notify Email Address(es) field if you want to be notified of the status change.
- Click Save (or Cancel to discard your changes).
