The Columns Tool allows you to easily format content (text, images, etc.) into vertical columns. The tool will automatically size the columns based on the available space on your page. Each column contains its own formatting toolbar, allowing you to add and edit each column individually.
Add the Columns Tool to Your Page
- Click Add Content.
- Select the Main tab in the Tool Menu
- Locate the Columns Tool under General.
- Click and drag the tool to the main panel of the page.
- Click into the tool to add content.
- Type a heading in the Add Header field.
- The tool defaults to Active status. (Click to select Inactive if you want to publish the content at a later date.)
- If Active, the tool will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the tool will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Click Add Column.
- Type your content the Text field. (A formatting toolbar allows you to format text, create headings and subheadings, add a hyperlink, make a list, insert a table, etc. )
- Click Add (or Cancel to discard your changes).
- Continue adding columns and content until you have reached your desired number of columns (a maximum of 4).
*Note: Rearrange your columns by clicking the double arrow on the top of a column and dragging it to a new position. You can also delete a column by clicking it and then clicking Delete. - Click Done (or delete the entire tool by clicking Delete in the Columns toolbar).
To make any needed edits, simply click into the tool.
*Note: Once added, you can move or copy your tool to another page by clicking Move/Copy in the Columns toolbar.
Schedule An Access Status Change
You can schedule a tool to become Active or Inactive on a specific date.
- Click into the tool.
- Click Schedule in the Columns toolbar.
- Select a Date for the status change.
- Select a New Access Status.
- If Active, the tool will be accessible.
- If Inactive, the tool will not be accessible or visible on the page.
- Type your email address(es) in the Notify Email Address(es) field if you want to be notified of the status change.
- Click Save (or Cancel to discard your changes).
