Not only do you have simple, easy-to-use access to some frequently used reports, but you can change the default settings to customize your data further, or you can build your own report from scratch! The information below applies to all report types, with some slight differences where indicated.
Parameters Section
The templated report pages are already pre-populated with real-time results, produced by the pre-set values in the Parameters sidebar on the left.
The following are all the possible report parameters you can add, remove, or change.
Who
The Who menu offers options to display results for your people profiles, organizations profiles, or both.
*Note: If you don't have the Organization Profiles product as part of your plan, using this parameter won't return any results.
Add Parameters
Click the + And button to add up to 20 parameters to the report. There are two types of parameters you can add and further define, Giving and Tag.
Giving
The Giving parameter offers preselected but changeable values using two combined menus to zero-in on your giving data. The first menu will allow you to select a donor who Has or Has Not given. The second lets you select whether the donor has given a regular donation or has an active recurring donation. You can use any combination of these options to drill down into your data for valuable insights.
Examples:
Add Criteria
The Add Criteria button appears and is enabled when it's possible to include additional criteria to your report. Click the button to view the available criteria, as shown here:
When an option has been added to the report, that option is removed from the + Add Criteria button. Once you click the x button to the right of a label, the option is made available again.
*Note: The Add Criteria button is not available on the Year-Over-Year report.
Add + OR Criteria
Click the + OR button to add a refinement to the parameter. A drop-up menu opens to offer you the choice of the Giving or Tag parameter.
Funds
You can select whether or not to narrow the Giving criteria by funds or appeals. The Funds menu offers a complete list of all active, inactive, and deleted funds configured in your system, separated by tax-deductible and nondeductible subcategories. If there is an identified mix of both types of funds, only the tax-deductible ones are preselected; otherwise, all funds are preselected. You can change any preselected funds by checking the box beside the fund name(s) you wish to remove or include.
The appeals menu offers a complete list of appeals configured in your system. No appeals are preselected. You can select appeal(s) by checking the box beside the appeal name. Each Giving parameter can have either funds or appeals selected, but not both. When the Fund option is included, the Appeal option will be disabled, and vice versa.
*Note: If you have externally managed funds (such as funds from Church Community Builder or Planning Center Online), they will appear in a single list without the subcategories for Tax-Deductible and Nondeductible.
Date Range
The Date Range menu allows you to customize the timeframe and compare data by either using the date-picker calendar function or manually typing dates in the Start and End date fields. You can remove the Date Range filter altogether by pressing the x to the right of the Date Range label, where available.
Years
The Years menu will provide a list of calendar years. Check and uncheck any years you want to include in your results.
*Note: this filter is only available on the Year-Over-Year report
Add a Tag Parameter
Click the + And or the + OR button to add the Tag parameter to your report. In the first field, select whether you want the report results to include profiles with any of the tags selected, all of the tags selected, or none of the tags selected.
The Tag dropdown offers a complete list of tags configured in your system. No tags are preselected. You can select tag(s) by checking the box beside the tag name.
Revise & Run the Report
It's important to note that the table data will not automatically update as you make different filter selections. To populate the results table with the new customized results, click the green Run button at the bottom of the parameters sidebar:
