Your locations feature will provide turn by turn directions for your members using the maps feature associated with their device (Apple Maps or Google Maps). The location feature is perfect for displaying your church’s venue and directing your members to an off campus event such as a volunteer opportunity or small groups meeting.
Within your locations feature, you can add a description along with additional information such as small group meeting times, where to park for a volunteer event or even your Sunday morning service times. You are also able to add contact information, such as a phone number, email address and a photo of your church to add a personal touch! The image of your church will display in-app.
Add a Locations Feature
Go to App > Features + Content to add the Locations feature to your app. Learn how to add, edit, and delete your app's features in this article.
Add/Edit Location Information
To add or edit location information hover over the feature and click on the Edit Content button.
That will open the edit screen. From there you can enter a campus name, a description (and additional information if you choose), an image, the location street address, and contact information. Click the Save button to save the location information.
Your locations will appear as buttons in the top left corner of your screen. You can edit or delete any location by clicking on that location's button to pull up the location's edit screen.
Once you have entered all of your location details information and uploaded an image of your location and have clicked save at the bottom of your screen, make sure you have uploaded a feature button image for your location feature and toggle it ‘on’ to make it visible in app for your members!
*Note: You can add more than one location feature throughout your app! Housing the location feature within a feature hub is a great way to incorporate locations for different events!
Q: Can you change the font style, color and size within the locations feature?
A: Today there is not a way to change the font style, color and size within the locations feature. This idea has been added to our idea board!
Q: Does the Description field and Additional Information field support HTML?
A: Today the Description field and Additional Information field do not support HTML.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of locations I can have listed within the locations feature?
A: There is not a limit to the number of locations you can have listed within the locations feature. The more the merrier!
